The Beyond Bins project aims to provide a circulative supply and demand chain between the community, industry players, and corporate bodies, ultimately closing the loop in this plastic waste and bringing about a circular economy.
This project tackles the plastic waste problem through innovative and self-sustaining solutions for the communities.
It introduces small-scale plastic recycling solutions, at the same time promoting an alternative source of income to the community through the production & re-selling of recycled products.
Beyond Bins Yayasan Hasanah has 3 objectives which are :
1) To implement an innovative small-scale plastic recycling solutions in two urban rural communities
2) To create a mindset shift with the general community on the value of plastics , through the creation of new products from waste and identification of its economic potential
3) To create an entrepreneurial mindset and sales channels that lead to an alternative source of income through the generation and sales of recycled products
