Ambiga Sreenevasan

Ambiga Sreenevasan is a distinguished human rights lawyer and activist, renowned for her unyielding dedication to justice, democracy, and civil liberties. With a distinguished legal career spanning decades, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Malaysia's legal landscape. Ambiga is best known as the former President of the Malaysian Bar Council and her significant contributions to civil society movements.

Her unwavering commitment to transparency and good governance is exemplified by her crucial involvement in the Bersih (Clean and Fair Elections) movement, advocating for electoral reforms and equitable elections in Malaysia. Ambiga's devotion to civil rights has earned her international recognition, including a place on TIME Magazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Ambiga's passion for justice extends to education and public discourse. As a proficient speaker and writer, she continually educates and inspires others on human rights, gender equality, and social justice. Her enduring impact on legal advocacy and tireless pursuit of a just and equitable society establish her as an iconic figure in Malaysia's human rights arena.

Dr Hartini Zainudin

Dato' Dr. Hartini Zainudin, a dedicated activist with a Ph.D. from Columbia University, co-founded Yayasan Chow Kit, a pioneering 24/7 child-crisis center in Malaysia. Over three decades, she tirelessly advocates for marginalized children, offering them protection, counseling, and basic needs. Beyond her role as a consultant for Malaysian Red Crescent, she engages in law and policy reforms, fundraising, and outreach. Passionate about child welfare, she addresses issues such as banning child marriages, contributing significantly to the Voice of the Children NGO. Her impactful work extends to international consultancy with the UN and involvement in crucial task forces, demonstrating her commitment to safeguarding children's rights.

Ivy Josiah

Ivy Josiah is a Malaysian human rights advocate and women's rights activist. She has been involved in various initiatives and organizations dedicated to promoting gender equality, women's empowerment, and human rights in Malaysia. Ivy Josiah has been a prominent figure in the advocacy for women's rights and has contributed to the advancement of social justice in the country.

Meera Sivasothy

Meera Sivasothy is the general manager for BFM, a Malaysian independent business and current affairs-oriented radio station. She oversees every aspect of the organization, from revenue to operations. Guided by her experience in the business and entertainment industry, Meera shares how different communication channels can be used to disseminate valuable content. She shares her experience with using radio as a communication channel while also noting the different outputs available today such as posters, videos, blogs, podcasts, etc.
