Times are difficult and the condition is worsened for hundreds upon thousands of individuals who risk their lives protecting us in the frontlines. Security guards, doctors, nurses, screening officials, janitors, volunteers and more of our heroes are rendered vulnerable to the virus due to the lack of face shields. Even by its own, face shields do not provide full protection unless paired with an N95 or a surgical mask. It is our duty as citizens, rakyat of Malaysia to initiate an open-source collaborative platform to create a decentralised production of face shields to safely equip Covid-19 front liners in efforts to combat the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) given to them.
